Tamr, inc (former Data tamer) is a startup that offers a software that uses machine learning to solve the data curation problem. Tamr makes data source connectivity and enrichment fast, cost-effective, scalable and accessible to the entire enterprise. It uses a continuous learning approach, and it learns more with usage, helping build an institutional memory and inventory of enterprise data. [2]

Tamr, based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, was founded in 2012 by three serial entrepreneurs Andy Palmer, Mike Stonebraker and Ihab Ilyas with George Beskales, Daniel Bruckner and Alex Pagan. After being Launched in the spring of 2014, Tamr is deployed in production at a variety organizations, including information services providers, pharmaceutical firms and retailers.[3]
