The company's Big Data Appliance, referred as Oracle Big Data Appliance has a pre-integrated full rack configuration with 18 of Oracle's Sun x86 servers and InfiniBand and Ethernet connectivity to simplify implementation and management. The X6-2 Starter Rack version of the appliance contains six Oracle Sun x86 servers within a full-sized rack with redundant Infiniband switches and power distribution units. The Appliance's Elastic Configuration expands any configuration in one node increments up to a full rack of 18 nodes. The solutions also include Cloudera CDH, Cloudera Manager, Cloudera RTQ (Impala), Oracle NoSQL Database.

NoSQL database, also called Not Only SQL, is an approach to data management and database design that's useful for very large sets of distributed data. In partnership with Cloudera, the Hadoop software and services provider, Oracle will provide first-line support, Tier 1, for the appliance and all software (including the Hadoop distribution and Cloudera Manager) through its issue-tracking support infrastructure (My Oracle Support). Cloudera will handle Tier 2 and 3 support as well as training and consulting engagements.
