History
ClinicalRM Formation by Ms. Vicki Tifft Since our founding in 1994, ClinicalRM has been committed to helping solve global health issues by providing flexible and expedient research solutions to the Federal Government, the Department of Defense, and commercial sponsors. Our determination was born out of on-the-ground experience. ClinicalRM founder and CEO, Victoria (Vicki) Tifft, served in the US Peace Corps as an infectious disease biologist. While in Africa, she experienced first-hand the devastating conditions people of developing nations endure and witnessed the overwhelming effects of infectious diseases, contracting malaria herself three times. Upon returning to the US, Ms. Tifft joined the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research (WRAIR) and the United States Army Medical Research Institute for Infectious Disease (USAMRIID). She played a major role in establishing the WRAIR Clinical Trials Center (CTC). Building on the experience she gleaned working alongside military and government researchers throughout the US Army Medical Research and Materiel Command (USAMRMC), Ms. Tifft founded ClinicalRM in 1994. In our first two decades of business, ClinicalRM grew steadily through word of mouth and a reputation for outstanding work. We have been continuously recognized for successfully managing FDA-regulated basic, applied, and clinical research programs for the Army, Navy, and Air Force, as well as the National Institutes of Health (NIH). We have an increasing impact in the bioscience industry, working with commercial customers, academic partners, and a growing network of worldwide affiliates to ease the burden of global health crises through the provision of clinical solutions.

As clinical research is a branch of healthcare science that determines the safety and effectiveness (efficacy) of medications, devices, diagnostic products and treatment regimens intended for human use the importance of clinical research management is felt more and more nowadays. These may be used for prevention, treatment, diagnosis or for relieving symptoms of a diseases all over the world.Clinical research is often conducted at academic medical centers and affiliated research study sites. These centers and sites provide the prestige of the academic institution as well as access to larger metropolitan areas, providing a larger pool of medical participants. In clinical practice established treatments are used, while in clinical research evidence is collected to establish a treatment.he clinical research ecosystem involves a complex network of sites, pharmaceutical companies and academic research institutions. This has led to a growing field of technologies used for managing the data and operational factors of clinical research. Clinical research management is often aided by eClinical systems to help automate the management and conducting of clinical trials.
