History
In 1992 Clinical Investigations was founded by Dr. Gerhard Krejci. Clinical Investigations has constantly grown since. In 2002, Dr. Georg Mathis together with two partners founded Appletree AG, a niche CRO focusing on ophthalmology and medical device investigations, in a later stage also on regulatory affairs world-wide. In April 2013, both companies – having about the same size – merged into Appletree CI Group with headquarters in Winterthur (Switzerland). In January 2014, Appletree CI Group acquired the Swiss Biostatistics & Data Management company Brunner & Hess.

Appletree CI Group is a specialized CSO (Contract Service Organization) in Winterthur, Switzerland offering services in clinical research and regulatory aeffairs.
At Appletree CI Group they believe in focusing on what they know best.
