Alteryx provides data blending and advanced analytics software solutions. It offers Alteryx Designer for data blending, advanced analytics, and sharing insights. Alteryx Server allows users to publish and share analytic applications within their organization, as well as enabling users to schedule and run analytic workflows as needed to generate reports and refresh data sets.[3] The company also provides Alteryx Analytics, which empowers line-of-business with the ability to easily prep, blend and analyze all data using repeatable workflow, then deploy and share analytics at scale for deeper insights in hours.[4]

Alteryx is based on the R statistical programming language and so there is a logical transition path for existing R users. Companies like Verizon and Ingersoll Rand are using Alteryx for both new analytics models and existing ones. The company has also been developing a partner channel with both consulting and technology partners.

SRC LLC was the original name of Alteryx and was founded in 1997 by Dean Stoecker, Olivia Duane Adams and Ned Harding. [5]

In 2006, the software product Alteryx was released, which was a single, unified spatial and non-spatial data environment for building analytical processes and applications.

In 2010, SRC LLC changed its name to that of its core product, Alteryx. >

In April, 2011, Alteryx raised $6 million in venture funding from the Palo Alto investment arm of SAP AG, SAP Ventures. In March, 2013, Alteryx raised $12 million from SAP Ventures and Toba Capital.[6] In October, 2014, the company raised $60 million in Round B funding from Insight Venture Partners, SAP Ventures and Toba Capital, and announced plans for a 30% workforce expansion.[7]

On October 28, 2015, Iconiq Capital made an $85 million investment in Alteryx, with Insight Venture Partners and Meritech Capital Partners also participating. Alteryx announced plans to use the new capital to expand internationally, invest in research and development, and increase its sales and marketing efforts. [8] [9]

Alteryx has developed these two products: Alteryx Designer and Alteryx Server. Alteryx also hosts a cloud-based website known as Alteryx Analytics Gallery.[10]
